Our history with the English Cocker Spaniel dates all the way back to the early 1960's when my mother was taken in by Jean Glasson and Maplelawn
Kennel's. We got our first cocker from Jean and made our first AKC and CKC Champion. My mother, Marylyn J. McDaniels and my sister JoLynn McDaniels
were very involved with showing both confirmation dogs for Jean and obedience dogs of many breeds, but the cocker's were their favorite. Marylyn was
a past president of the Heart of Michigan English Cocker Club and passed her love of this breed on to me and even more so to her granddaughter KyLee
Carter. Last year we were fortunate enough to meet Lora and Rick Richards of Sugarcreek English Cocker's and CH Sugarcreek's Let Freedom Ring, aka
Jade.

KyLee fell in love with Jade at first sight and him with her. We took him home as an AKC Champion and KyLee completed his UKC Championship with
group placements, and is currently 8th (2006)in the USA UKC English Cocker (1st in the USA 2007) pointed out in Novice Juniors and they are getting their
feet wet AKC. KyLee's enthusiasm led us back to Lora and Rick to take on another exceptionally worthy cocker: CH Sugar Creeks Spirit of America, aka
Emma out of CH Sugar Creeks Gallant Liberty, aka Libby. We have brought her along and thanks to the Richards have taken her out two weekends AKC
and pointed both times out. She is pointed UKC with group placements and is currently 9th in the USA UKC English Cocker with us and is nearing her
championship. (Now UKC Champion)

Both of these dogs have been a true joy. We are planning on raising our first english cocker litter with Emma and continuing her show career to her
championships. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to Lora and Rick Richards for all their knowledge, help and putting up with the endless questions
that we ask to learn about this great breed. We could not have any better teachers or friends. We are very excited to have a litter of puppies that are not
all black and mahoganey. A few blue roans, orange roans, black and whites or any color will be great!
